Privacy Protection
To respect and protect patients’ right to privacy, Pujing Dental has established a set of policies to safeguard your personal information.
I. All personal information of patients shall be kept confidential. No personnel may access or use patient‑related information for personal reasons.
II. Patients’ dignity, cultural backgrounds and religious beliefs shall be respected.
1. Do not discuss a patient’s medical condition in public areas or with irrelevant personnel.
2. Do not discuss a patient’s physical defects in public areas or with irrelevant personnel.
3. Do not discuss a patient’s personal background in public areas or with irrelevant personnel.
4. Do not discuss a patient’s private life in public areas or with irrelevant personnel.
5. Do not discuss a patient’s special life experiences related to current treatment in public areas or with irrelevant personnel.
III. When physical exposure is required for examination or treatment, prior consent must be obtained from the patient or legal guardian. Consultation rooms shall remain closed during service. The one‑doctor‑one‑patient rule shall apply. A nurse must be present when treating patients of the opposite sex.
IV. Paper medical records shall be stored in filing cabinets. Medical staff shall file records immediately after use. Unauthorised personnel are prohibited from accessing records. Information shall not be disclosed to third‑parties without patient authorisation to prevent data leakage or loss of medical files.
V. Physicians shall maintain patient confidentiality. No information regarding causes or conditions shall be disclosed to others without patient consent.
VI. Patients’ requests for private consultation, examination or treatment shall be accommodated whenever possible.
VII. During treatment or surgical procedures, staff shall avoid unrelated conversation or joking which may cause psychological stress to patients.
VIII. Except for medical practitioners providing care and staff conducting medical‑quality monitoring, no other organisation or individual may inspect patient medical records without authorisation.
IX. Log out of electronic medical record systems promptly after use to prevent unauthorised viewing. Paper documents including informed‑consent forms requiring patient signatures shall be retained by the clinic. Patients may request copies of medical records upon presentation of valid identification.
